I love woodworking, and man was I fortunate to find a site with over 16,000 downloadable woodworking plans.
There are so many plans that you are practically guaranteed to find something you like.
The information is awesome and includes schematics, blueprints, materials lists, dimensions etc
- The diagrams are fully detailed with all dimensions needed
- You get step by step instructions on how to start your project
- You are given a list of all the tools you will need
- There is also a list of all the materials you will require
Other sites I have seen simply don’t measure up to these plans. Usually their dimensions are all wrong and the information is incomplete. There is often important bits missing regarding the parts list and tools to use.
The information is great for beginners, because the plans are so easy to follow. And if you are a veteran at woodworking, you will breeze through the information. instructions are clear and concise.
Some of these woodworking plans come with videos which help you to build benches, home furniture, dog houses, bird feeders, sheds and much much more.
The guy who has produced the plans, Ted Mcgrath, is a very experienced woodworker, and he really knows his stuff. He has been a woodworking DIY specialist for many years.
The only con or drawback I could find was that with 16,000 plans you are bound to find a few which appear disorganized and hard to categorize. You have to download all the pans too, which for some people may take awhile, but with internet speeds the way they are nowadays this should be easy for most people. They also have a dvd option in the members area so you can get it all on a dvd if you prefer.
So whats the bottom line:
I have been woodworking for over 10 years and the truth is I have never found anything like this, ever! If you are planning a woodworking project, this isn’t something you should use, its something you would be insane not to.
But don’t take my word for it, check it out yourself right now.
